Ariana Grande debuts “The Light is Coming” live

It's the second single off her forthcoming album, ‘Sweetener.’

Ariana Grande can do wrong at the moment. Her latest tune, “No Tears Left to Cry,” is a monster hit. And after teasing fans with a snippet of her next single “The Light is Coming,” the pop star has shared an extended preview of the upcoming track, taken from her performance at the Wango Tango.

Featuring Nicki Minaj, the second single off the record is a twisted, super-fresh take on pop. “Now you’re benched / Aw, you’re bum knee / Now I’m the bad gal / Call me Chun-Li,” Minaj spits at the beginning of the track, serving all the sass and swag you’d expect from her. Ari jumps in from there, unleashing the track’s unforgettable hook, “The light is coming to take back everything the darkness stole.”
