Ariana Grande collaborates with ‘Vogue’ for stunning “In My Head” MV

The video dropped alongside a fun behind-the-scenes video.

Ariana Grande has teamed up with Vogue, who featured the singer on the cover of their latest issue, to release a cover video performance of “In My Head,” a cut from Thank U, Next.

In the fantastical clip directed by Bardia Zeinali, Grande singers, dances and poses by herself in an all-white room. The visual also features dancing sentient versions of Ari’s signature looks, such as her thigh-high boots and sleek ponytail.

The video was released alongside a behind-the-scenes look at the visual’s creation. It shows Grande’s backup dancers, dressed in green against a green screen, creating images of her iconic hair and boots. “It kinda started out by just finding what makes Ariana iconic,” said Zeinali. “It’s the voice, it’s the ponytail, it’s the boots, it’s the silhouette. So we decided that we wanted to create an iconic video where we’re isolating the Ariana iconography, and playing it up and having a good time with it.”

“In My Head” is the latest song to get the visual treatment from Grande’s Thank U, Next album, following “Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored,” “7 Rings” and the title track.
