Anderson .Paak, Bruno Mars share new Silk Sonic single, “Skate”

The follow-up to “Leave the Door Open” has finally arrived.

Silk Sonic—the duo of Anderson .Paak and Bruno Mars—have shared their highly anticipated second single, “Skate.”

The groovy track arrived accompanied by a sepia-tinged, sun-drenched clip, which was co-directed by Mars, Florent Déchard and Philippe Tayag.

In “Skate,” Mars and .Paak serenade a lucky lady, asking her to “skate” their way. Fittingly, the visual finds the duo surrounded by a circle of rollerblading women who are enjoying the good tunes.

“In a room full of dimes / You would be a hundred dollars / If bein’ fine was a crime / Girl, they’d lock your lil’ fine ass up in a tower,” .Paak opens the single. “Oh, skate to me baby / Slide your way on over,” Mars croons.

“Skate” comes four months after the duo’s first-ever single, “Leave the Door Open,” which debuted at the top on the Billboard Hot 100. The track is expected to appear on Silk Sonic’s debut album, An Evening With Silk Sonic, which will be out later this year.
