Aly & AJ take us to “Church”

The sister duo are finally back with new music.

Aly & AJ have taken their ’80s-inspired synth pop sound a step further with “Church.”

On their new song, the sister duo double down on the dreamy style that defined their 2017 comeback EP, Ten Years. The track layers their vocoder-processed vocals over an atmospheric beat, electronic drums and subtle piano chords. “Too many nights and there’s no end / I’m hellbent, the reckless one / Too many nights, I justified / All my casualties of love,” they harmonize on the pre-chorus.

“Church” is the pair’s first release since last year’s “Good Love,” which was featured on the deluxe edition of their Ten Years EP. Stream their new song below:
