Ally Brooke, A Boogie wit da Hoodie drop sultry single, “Lips Don’t Lie”

An early-2000s R&B throwback.

Ally Brooke has linked up with A Boogie wit da Hoodie for her sensual new single, “Lips Don’t Lie.”

The song features the Fifth Harmony member’s seductive vocals over a groovy, piano-led melody that recalls early-2000s R&B. “You’re quick (you’re quick), I do it slow (so slow) / But then I let you drive past the limit / It’s difficult, I know (I know) / But I make you come fast in a minute,” she sings.

A Boogie jumps in halfway through the song, switching things up with a brief but passionate verse: “And shit was fucked up when you found me, my heart was so cold / I was up, left you down, just like a yo-yo / I was fucking around, hard to control, though / Girl, I left you solo.”

“Lips Don’t Lie” is Brooke’s second single as a solo artist, following February’s “Low Key.” On the other hand, A Boogie dropped his chart-topping sophomore album, Hoodie SZN, back in January.
