Windhand’s new song “Diablerie” is an epic doom metal opus

The track’s taken from their forthcoming LP, ‘Eternal Return.’

Molten fuzz, haunting vocals and an enchanting melody—Windhand give doom metal a shot in the arm with their brand-new single, “Diablerie.”

Lifted from their upcoming fourth studio album Eternal Return, “Diablerie” is everything you expect and more from the Virginia-based outfit. The track, which runs for five and a half minutes, kicks off instantly with sludgy guitar riffs and ominous grooves. But just as the song hits the 35-second mark, vocalist Dorthia Cottrell enters with her hypnotizing vocals, switching the course of the track from moody to downright eerie. Just like its title suggests.

Eternal Return sees Windhand join forces with legendary producer Jack Endino, whose works include Nirvana’s Bleach and Soundgarden’s Screaming Life. The record arrives on October 5 via Relapse Records. You can pre-order your copy here.
