Whitesnake release rambunctious “Shut Up & Kiss Me”

Cupid season is in full swing.

Adding to the string of Valentine’s Day releases is Whitesnake’s brand-new single, “Shut Up & Kiss Me.”

The glam rock legends waste no time on the track, ripping into a white-hot guitar riff, backed by intense drumming. “Lord have mercy / I’ve fallen in love with you / I can’t keep my hands to myself / Baby, I’m so screwed,” frontman David Coverdale sings on the opening, setting the tone for the testosterone-fuelled song.

The track arrived alongside an equally wild visual, which premiered on Billboard. In the clip, Coverdale and his band rock out at Lake Tahoe’s aptly named Club Snake. Elsewhere, the same white Jaguar that was featured in their 1987 video, “Here I Go Again,” makes an appearance.

“This is much more of a lite-Snake kind of video, in that it’s fun stuff,” Coverdale told Billboard. “The people who [came] to the club and [saw the car went], ‘Oh my god! That’s the Whitesnake Jag!’ and [had] their pictures and stuff taken with it.”
