Watch Trivium’s Matt Heafy transform two ’90s classics

The metal guitarist performs ‘Titanic’-sized covers of Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On” and NSYNC’s “Tearin’ Up My Heart.”

When he isn’t in the studio or on the road, Matt Heafy’s probably goofing around on Twitch. The Trivium frontman and guitarist has been on a streak of covering pop songs on his channel, and he just transformed two chart-toppers from the ’90s into raging metal behemoths.

Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On” and NSYNC’s “Tearin’ Up My Heart” were the hits that went through Heafy’s supercharged electric guitar. If those songs had been written by teenage metal guitarists, they’d sound just like Heafy’s covers, with massive riffs and metalcore screams ensuring these ain’t no pop tunes.
