Watch Lzzy Hale, Mark Morton’s acoustic Black Crowes cover

The Halestorm vocalist and Lamb of God guitarist take on “She Talks to Angels.”

Halestorm singer Lzzy Hale and Lamb of God’s Mark Morton have covered the Black Crowes’ classic ’90s track “She Talks to Angels.”

The pair originally recorded “She Talks to Angels” for Morton’s Ether covers EP, which also contains collaborations with Howard Jones, John Carbone and Morales. Their new acoustic version allows Hale ample space to unleash her powerful vocals over Morton’s guitarwork.

Hale spearheaded the acoustic cover of “She Talks to Angels” as part of her Raise Your Horns YouTube series, in which she interviews, performs and hangs out with rock icons.

“That was an amazing email request to get and I’m glad it worked out and we could do that together,” Hale told Morton of their initial Ether collaboration on Raise Your Horns.

“It turned out so awesome,” Morton added. “For you to turn it around so quick and for it to come out like it did… it was like getting a Christmas present, I was like ‘Oh my god, this sounds awesome!’ I was giddy.”

Prior to her collab with Morton, Hale covered Halestorm track “Break in” with Amy Lee from Evanescence, Dolly Parton’s iconic “I Will Always Love You” with her band, and Queen’s “We Will Rock You” alongside In This Moment.
