Jinjer have released a new video for “Pit of Consciousness,” a track from their recently released album, Macro.
Director Oleg Rooz capitalizes on the Ukranian band’s high-intensity live performances for the visual, combining footage of Jinjer playing the song with gothic effects and dramatic scenes of frontwoman Tatiana Shmailyuk.
Jinjer bassist Eugene Kostiuk issued an ominous statement about “Pit of Consciousness,” describing it as a song that applied to every member of the progressive metal band. “Living a life at a full pace after years of touring, have we accidentally let someone else in our heads and become foreigners to ourselves?” he said. “Holding on to the hope that we can keep those doors shut…”
The “Pit of Consciousness” video follows Jinjer’s clip for “On the Top,” also from Macro, which was released last Friday. Watch their latest visual below:
