Sepultura recently collaborated with Megadeth’s David Ellefson on a quarantine performance of their song “Territory.”
The video shows the Brazilian band and their guest playing their own parts from separate locations, making for a socially distanced yet intense rendition of the Chaos AD classic.
The performance came after an 80-minute live Q&A Ellefson had with Sepultura members Andreas Kisser and Paulo Jr on September 9. Ellefson is a friend of the band, and was interviewed alongside other metal luminaries for Otavio Juliano’s 2017 documentary Sepultura Endurance.
Sepultura released their 15th studio album Quadra in February. On the other hand, Megadeth have been working on a new album, wth frontman Dave Mustaine recording vocals after making a full recovery from cancer. In May, Ellefson and his band shared an unexpected cover of Post Malone’s “Over Now,” which he described as “our way of showing our mutual admiration and paying homage to our friend.”
