Watch Bullet for My Valentine’s cinematic “Not Dead Yet” MV

Directed by Takahito Matsuno and set in Japan.

Bullet for My Valentine have unveiled the video for their latest Gravity single, “Not Dead Yet.”

The Takahito Matsuno-directed clip is visually pleasing from start to finish, thanks to its dreamy color palette typical of Japanese coming-of-age flicks such as Linda, Linda, Linda and Capturing Dad. Filmed in Tokyo, the visual pieces together cuts of the band jamming out with scenes of Japanese youths exploring their city: They skateboard down alleys, hang out on rooftops and run through fields.

According to frontman Matt Tuck, the music video was shot in Japan while they were there to perform at this year’s Summer Sonic Festival. “We’ve never done a video there before, so [we] thought, ‘Why not?’”

Alongside the video drop, the Welsh heavy metallers also announced a deluxe digital edition of their recent album. The upsized version will feature brand-new tracks, covers and reworks of “Breathe Underwater,” “The Very Last Time” and “Under Again.” Pre-order your copy here.
