Babymetal have dropped an effects-heavy video for “BxMxC,” from the Japanese edition of their 2019 album Metal Galaxy.
The clip pits Su-metal and Moametal in fiery battles against devilish opponents in a tournament called a “metal cypher”—doubtless a nod to the song’s rap influence, which is most evident from Su-metal’s distorted delivery on the verses.
Besides the eye-popping clip, Babymetal have also announced a greatest hits collection to celebrate a decade of kawaii metal. The compilation titled 10 Babymetal Years will arrive December 23—and be available in ten different editions.
As Consequence of Sound notes, the tracklist for at least one edition will be determined by fans, who’ll be able to vote for songs in a bracket. See more details on the voting process on Babymetal’s website.
Last month, Babymetal released not one but two live albums from their world tour in support of Metal Galaxy. The record, which is their third studio release, also featured the tracks “Da Da Dance,” “Shanti Shanti Shanti,” “Pa Pa Ya!!” featuring Thai rapper F.HERO, “Elevator Girl” and “Distortion.”
