Underoath nominated for first performance Grammy

“On My Teeth” is up for Best Metal Performance.

Underoath have received their first-ever performance Grammy nomination for “On My Teeth,” from their latest LP Erase Me.

They’re up against Between the Buried and Me (“Condemned to the Gallows), Deafheaven (“Honeycomb”), High on Fire (“Electric Messiah”) and Trivium (“Betrayer”) for the trophy.

This is the Florida metalcore band’s third Grammy nomination, following nods in the music video and packaging categories in 2007 and 2010, respectively.


This caps off a stellar year for Underoath, following a headline tour alongside Dance Gavin Dance, Crown the Empire and The Plot in You, which in two days’ time will culminate in a hometown show.

They’re not resting on their laurels, though: Next year, the band will embark on their debut arena tour supporting Breaking Benjamin.

The Grammys will take place on February 10. In the meantime, watch the video for the Grammy-nominated song below:
