Trudge into doom with Inter Arma on “Stillness”

Another cut off ‘Sulphur English.’

Adult Swim has great taste in metal: The network’s singles series has put out tracks by Eight Bells, Power Trip, Pallbearer and Grammy winners High on Fire, among others. The latest heavy installment of the series is “Stillness” by Inter Arma, from their forthcoming album, Sulphur English.

“Stillness” cuts a more mournful silhouette than the first single, “Citadel,” with its plodding drumbeats and plaintive guitar lines. But it takes a slow, inevitable slide towards ominous, clamorous doom.

This track’s certainly one of the more outstanding Adult Swim singles of late. But Inter Arma are keeping some humorous perspective about their inclusion in this critically acclaimed program:
