Tool release first new album in 13 years, ‘Fear Inoculum’

Was it worth the wait?

After 13 years, Tool have finally released a new record: Fear Inoculum, their fifth studio album, is out now.

The LP’s physical edition is seven tracks long, while its digital release includes three additional tracks. It features two songs, “Invincible” and “Descending,” which the metal band debuted at a festival in Florida in May.

Tool rolled out the red carpet for Fear Inoculum by releasing their prior catalog on streaming and digital services at the top of August: namely, the EP Opiate and the albums Undertow, Ænima, Lateralus and 10,000 Days. As a result, Lateralus topped the iTunes album chart, and five Tool tracks made it to iTunes’ top ten downloaded songs chart, NME reports.
