Thou, Emma Ruth Rundle unveil new song “The Valley”

From their collaborative album ‘May Our Chambers Be Full.’

Thou and Emma Ruth Rundle have released “The Valley,” another new song from their upcoming collaborative album May Our Chambers Be Full.

Rundle spins a gothic tale of resilience in the face of shame on the majestic, nine-minute slow-burner. “But if you have given up in the valley / And if you have given all to its wake / Just another endless night fall around me / Just another fucked up thing I can’t save,” she sings.

“The Valley” is the epic closing track of May Our Chambers Be Full, which also includes the song “Ancestral Recall.” The record will be Rundle’s first full-length since her 2018 album On Dark Horses. For Thou, it follows their two cover collections released earlier this year: A Primer of Holy Words and Blessings of the Highest Order.

May Our Chambers Be Full is out October 30. Listen to “The Valley” now:
