The Amity Affliction release new track, “Ivy (Doomsday)”

It's the first taste of their new album, ‘Misery.’

Metalcore titans The Amity Affliction are back. And they’ve just dropped a brand-new track and have revealed that a new album is on the way.

The band released its latest single, “Ivy (Doomsday),” to announce their sixth LP Misery, which will arrive on August 24. And from the preview, it sounds like the group’s new material will blow your mind.

“Ivy (Doomsday)” starts off mellow, with Ahren Stringer’s clean vocals sounding better than ever. “I will cover you like ivy / And choke out all the light,” he sings on a verse.

When the chorus kicks in with a scream of “I could be your doomsday,” that classic Amity sound switches into top gear, crashing in with a wall of sound that practically forces you to mosh along—even if you’re just chilling in your room.

The boys have also released a pretty graphic video for the track, too, that’s part of a two-part mini-movie, Misery. The album’s second track is said to finish the NSFW story. You can watch the first half below:
