Slipknot release bizarre short film, ‘Pollution’

Directed by member Shawn “Clown” Crahan.

Metal band Slipknot have released Pollution, a new short film directed by percussionist Shawn “Clown” Crahan.

The 20-minute clip features an army of marching percussionists with neon-lit drums, shots of humans emerging from cocoons and footage of cells dividing. In the middle of the film, it segues into the previously released video for “Nero Forte.”

“I set out to make a short film that makes you question your own existence, here in this reality,” Crahan shared in a press release. “When you lay down in your bed, next to the one you love, do you ever ask yourself: ‘Is it possible that this person could slit my throat while I’m sleeping?’ Enjoy. Pollution is everywhere.”

“Nero Forte” appears on Slipknot’s latest album, We Are Not Your Kind, which also features the songs “Birth of the Cruel” and “Solway Firth.”
