Shock Narcotic have released a new song, “Erratic Smearing Vitals,” that apparently about “having the worst psychedelic trip of your life.”

The grindcore act are a year-old supergroup comprising current and former members of Dillinger Escape Plan, The Black Dahlia Murder and Child Bite, among others. They’re gearing up to release their debut album, the starkly titled I Have Seen the Future and it Doesn’t Work, on August 16.

“Erratic Smearing Vitals” is less than a minute long, and is about the kind of trip “where your mind goes down a rabbit hole of ever-increasing hyper-awareness and you feel like you’re in a never-ending nightmare,” guitarist Shawn Night explained to Decibel Magazine, which premiered the track. “The kind of trip that has you absolutely convinced that you’re dying, but in the most spectacular, incomprehensible way possible.”
