Sepultura announce new album ‘Quadra’ at Rock in Rio 2019

    Brazilian heavy metal band Sepultura have announced their new album, Quadra. It’s their follow-up to 2017’s Machine Messiah.

    The group broke the news during their monstrous set at Brazil’s Rock in Rio 2019 festival last Friday. Alongside the announcement, they also performed a new song titled “Isolation,” the first taste of the album.

    Sepultura started the performance slow, with dramatic drum beats and an epic vocal chorus. But they soon turned up the heat, jumping from ominous orchestral grandeur to high-energy thrash metal. Dummer Eloy Casagrande and guitarist Andreas Kisser also showed off their skills with impeccable solos.

    According to the album cover, which was posted on the band’s Instagram page, Quadra will arrive next year. However, no official release date has been announced. Check out their performance of “Isolation” below:
