Prophets of Rage have never not been political. And with the US midterm elections just days away, it’s no surprise that they’ve decided to join in on the action with their latest video, “The Ballot or the Bullet.”

The visual features a mashup of three new tracks including the recently released “Hearts Afire,” aided by clips of gun violence, white supremacists and famous black activists. Nothing is subtle here—throughout, the rap rock supergroup sound off against the NRA and condemn several political figureheads including President Donald Trump, Mike Pence and Brett Kavanaugh.

“Some people are trying to keep many of us from being able to vote,” the band write in a message at the end of the video. “Don’t squander the rights we fought so hard to get. Agitate, organize, resist and rebel before, during and after election day. In the words of Malcolm X: ‘It’s got to be the ballot or the bullet.’”

The songs teased in the clip are most likely set to appear on Prophets of Rage’s upcoming sophomore record, although an official title and release date have not been announced.
