Power Trip release blistering live album of 2018 Seattle gig

To offset the impact of COVID-19 on the band’s finances.

Power Trip have surprise-released a live album recorded at Seattle venue Neumos in 2018, while they were on tour with Sheer Mag, Red Death and Fury.

The 11-track record features cuts from the Texas band’s 2017 and 2013 records, Nightmare Logic and Manifest Decimation. According to its description on Bandcamp, the LP was mixed and mastered by the band’s front-of-house engineer, Zachary Rippy of Sound Signal Audio.

Live in Seattle: 05.28.20 is out across all digital platforms, including Bandcamp. Proceeds from the album’s sales on that platform will “go toward offsetting the financial impact of the numerous Power Trip tours and live appearances canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Power Trip have been quiet on the recorded front lately, but frontman Riley Gale recently appeared on a song from the new Body Count album Carnivore, and formed the group Masterpiece Machine with members of Fucked Up.
