A space explorer battles his demons in Pallbearer’s new video

“Forgotten Days” is the title track of their upcoming album.

Pallbearer have announced their new album, Forgotten Days, with a music video for its title track.

For the new clip, the Little Rock, Arkansas band soundtrack a mini space drama in which a lone explorer searches any signs of life while battling painfully personal hallucinations. “Is this insanity? Will they come to take me? Who can I trust with tomorrow? I’ve got no trust in myself,” sings frontman Brett Campbell.

Forgotten Days comes three years after Pallbearer’s last full-length, Heartless. In the interim, the band whetted fans’ appetites with tracks like “Dropout” and “Atlantis.”

Forgotten Days is us exploring what is natural to us,” bassist/songwriter Joseph Rowland said in a statement. “The songs tell me where I need to go when I write. We wanted to focus on songs that were visceral and enjoyable to play live – that our audiences would enjoy experiencing. We’re also getting back to more of the groovier and heavier elements of Pallbearer. Heartless is fairly uptempo and technical. This one is a little more open, it hammers you.”

Forgotten Days is due out October 23 via Nuclear Blast. Watch the video for the title track below:
