Old Man Gloom share ripping new single, “EMF”

    It opens their new album, ‘Seminar VIII: Light of Meaning.’

    Old Man Gloom have announced their next album, Seminar VIII: Light of Meaning, with the new song “EMF.”

    After an ominous few seconds of silence, “EMF” lashes out with punk ferocity. It’s a bracing opening track for Seminar VIII, which the metal supergroup first teased with an album trailer in early March.

    The new Old Man Gloom record comes six years after their last album, The Ape of God. Per BrooklynVegan, it will also feature the work of bassist Caleb Scofield, who died in 2018 in a traffic accident. The line-up on this new album also includes drummer Santos Montano, guitarist/vocalists Aaron Turner and Nate Newton, and bassist Stephen Brodsky.

    Seminar VIII: Light of Meaning is due out May 22 via Profound Lore. Stream “EMF” here:
