My Dying Bride return with “Your Broken Shore”

    UK doom metal band My Dying Bride have returned with a new song, “Your Broken Shore.”

    The majestic, nearly eight-minute-long track is the first taste of The Ghost of Orion, the veteran group’s 13th studio album. Recorded in Yorkshire, the upcoming record features “a more accessible style compared to some of their past, highly technical releases,” My Dying Bride said in a statement.

    The Ghost of Orion comes five years after My Dying Bride’s last album, 2015’s Feel the Misery. The band went on a brief hiatus after vocalist Aaron Stainthorpe’s daughter was diagnosed with cancer at the age of five in September 2017. In September 2018, Stainthorpe announced on the band’s official website that his daughter had beaten cancer, and that he would rejoin the rest of My Dying Bride to work on new music.

    The Ghost of Orion, due out March 6, will be My Dying Bride’s first album for Nuclear Blast. Stream “Your Broken Shore” here:
