Mindfield pull no punches on new self-titled EP

Take seven minutes out of your day for this release.

Florida hardcore band Mindfield have dropped a new, self-titled EP. It follows their 2018 release Void of Illuminance.

At three tracks and nearly seven minutes’ runtime, this new release is a concentrated dose of riffy, crossover thrash that’ll leave you wanting more. Fans of Sepultura, Turmoil and All Out War—all cited influences on Mindfield—should take a listen.

The heaviness of Mindfield’s music is also matched by their lyrics, which tackle “the fear of going through life not being able to feel the emotions every human should be able to feel because of anxiety, depression and self hatred,” as drummer Trevor Bacon said in a recent interview.
