Metal supergroup Hellyeah release the Vinnie Paul-helmed “333”

It comes from their forthcoming sixth LP.

Heavy metal supergroup Hellyeah have released “333” from their forthcoming album, which will be the last to feature their late drummer Vinnie Paul.

Paul, the former Pantera drummer who died last June, is the driving force behind “333,” with his blast beats providing the foundation for guitarists Christian Brady and Tom Maxwell. Vocalist Chad Gray described the song as “[Paul’s] baby; it belonged to and came from him.”

“Unfortunately, by the time I was ready to actually write the lyrics, it was after Vinnie had passed,” Gray explained. “The lyrics embrace and recognize the feelings that most metal fans have: being treated like outcasts and being judged for the way we look or dress. It’s a reminder to all the metal fans that no matter what, you will always have a place in our worldwide metal community.”

Hellyeah’s as-yet-untitled sixth album will be out in the summer. Watch the video for “333” here:
