Mastodon, Primus, Tool members unite to cover Rush’s “Anthem”

Another all-star collaboration facilitated by ‘Two Minutes to Late Night.’

Heavy metal YouTube channel Two Minutes to Late Night has convened another all-star line-up for a cover: This time, members of Coheed & Cambria, Mastodon, Primus, Tool and more have taken on “Anthem” by Rush.

As those who’ve seen the channel’s cover of Kate Bush’s “Running Up That Hill” would expect, the latest mega collab from Two Minutes to Late Night features impressive production value, from the audio quality to the green-screen effects and musicians’ costumes—to say nothing of the musical talent on show.

While Coheed & Cambria’s Claudio Sanchez belts the lyrics, Bill Kelliher (Mastodon), Steve Brodsky (Cave In, Mutoid Man, Old Man Gloom) play guitar. Primus’ Les Claypool takes on bass and Tool’s Danny Carey handles the drums. Two Minutes to Late Night founder Jordan “Gwarsenio Hall” Olds contributes both vocals and guitar.
