Listen to Alice in Chains’ new song, “So Far Under”

It’s set to appear on their forthcoming album, ‘Rainer Fog.’

Alice in Chains have just shared, “So Far Under,” their latest track from their upcoming full-length, Rainer Fog.

It’s a pretty mellow heavy metal track, and the sound is reminiscent of their older material such as Jar of Flies and their 1995 self-titled album. According to Metal Injection, the song was inspired by recent global events. “It’s about feeling completely up against it—outnumbered, surrounded, facing seemingly unbeatable odds and being really pissed off about it,” said frontman William DuVall.

Rainer Fog is the follow-up to their 2013 record, The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here, and pays homage to their hometown of Seattle. No release date has been announced yet but you can enjoy “So Far Under” for the time being below:
