Korn have a blast with new “Finally Free” video

A collaboration with the online game ‘World of Tanks Blitz.’

Korn have collaborated with the online game World of Tanks Blitz on their video for “Finally Free,” from their latest album The Nothing.

The clip centers on the character of Captain, who awakens in a war-torn desert and starts to make the journey to the band’s performance at an event called the Burning Games, which is the setting for a new mode in the game, released to mark Halloween. Along the way, he realizes he’s being hunted by an unknown enemy in—you guessed it—a massive tank.

Wargaming, the company behind World of Tanks Blitz, has collaborated with many heavy musicians over the years, including Iron Maiden, Sabaton and The Offspring. The Korn tie-up makes sense considering that singer Jonathan Davis is a fan.

“I really like World of Tanks Blitz,” he said in a statement. “It’s true to the era, there are a lot of great tanks in there, and you don’t just jump in and start shooting. I think there is a connection between rock and video games because video games are intense and rock ’n’ roll music is intense. It seems like they have always gone hand in hand.”
