King Diamond perform “A Mansion in Darkness” live at The Fillmore

This recording features on the upcoming ‘Songs for the Dead Live’ DVD.

King Diamond have uploaded a performance of “A Mansion in Darkness” from their 2015 sold-out show at The Fillmore in San Francisco, California.

The live recording is taken from the band’s forthcoming Songs for the Dead Live DVD/Blu-ray, which captures two sets from the Danish rockers.

The mesmerizing clip opens with an elaborately designed stage featuring crucifixes propped up at each end. With his iconic face paint and cross-shaped mic, lead singer Kim Petersen works the crowd up into a frenzy, before guitarist Andy LaRocque chimes in with an electrifying solo. There’s also a theatrical aspect to the performance: A lady in a white dress prances across the stage with a lantern.

The full Fillmore show—along with an 18-song set at Belgium’s Graspop Metal Meeting—will feature on Songs for the Dead Live, out January 25.
