Hear Thou cover Alice in Chains’ “Them Bones”

From a tribute compilation to the grunge legends’ 1992 LP ‘Dirt.’

Thou have covered Alice in Chains’ “Them Bones” for Dirt (Redux), a track-by-track cover tribute to the grunge legends’ 1992 album Dirt.

The Louisiana sludge metallers do love a good cover: In June, they released a collection of Nirvana covers, and followed up in August with another album with covers of Shellac, Black Sabbath, Soundgarden and more.

Thou have played Alice in Chains songs live before, and now they’ve recorded a rendition of “Them Bones” for this new covers project by Magnetic Eye Records, which has organized similar tributes to Pink Floyd’s The Wall, Helmet’s self-titled album and Jimi Hendrix’s Electric Ladyland.

Dirt (Redux) is out in full on Friday. Next month, Thou will release a collaborative album with Emma Ruth Rundle, titled May Our Chambers Be Full. They announced it last month with the track “Ancestral Recall.”
