Hear Monuments’ new song, “Mirror Image”

One of the band’s favorites from the forthcoming album, ‘Phronesis.’

Monuments have released a new song, “Mirror Image,” off their forthcoming album, Phronesis.

The track boasts crushing guitar lines from John Browne and Olly Steele, as well as a versatile vocal performance from Chris Barretto, who ranges from harsh growls, to hushed, evocative singing on the bridge, to the melodic chorus.

“Lyrically, the song explores the idea of looking back on previous bad decisions, the want to turn back time and change the scenario after understanding the consequences of those decisions,” the band commented. “This is collectively one of our favorite songs of the new album.”

The album—named after the Greek term for “practical wisdom”—will be the British progressive metal band’s third full-length and their first in four years.
