Dream Theater’s Jordan Rudess announces new solo album

The keyboardist has an exciting year ahead of him.

Dream Theater fans don’t just have their new album, Distance Over Time, to look forward to. The prog metal band’s keyboardist, Jordan Rudess, has just announced a new solo album that’ll be out in April.

The record, titled Wired for Madness, promises multi-part epics and tracks that hit the ten- and 20-minute marks—all par for Dream Theater’s course. But there’s apparently also a blues song, “Just Can’t Win,” for which Rudess enlisted Joe Bonamassa and a full brass section. Other guests include James LaBrie and John Petrucci of Dream Theater, UFO guitarist Vinnie Moore, and drummer Marco Minnemann.
