Disturbed seek “A Reason to Fight”

A slower cut off the upcoming album, ‘Evolution.’

With new single “A Reason to Fight,” Disturbed prove why their upcoming album’s titled Evolution.

Last month, the Chicago nu-metal band asked fans to vote on whether their next single should be ‘heavy’ or a ‘ballad.’ The former won out, precipitating the release of “Are You Ready?”

But now it seems they’ve released the ‘ballad’ track, in the form of “A Reason to Fight.” Though Disturbed lifers will no doubt be perturbed, if you love the band’s take on Simon & Garfunkel’s “The Sound of Silence,” you’ll probably enjoy this one.

The track begins with slowly picked guitar and gentle vocals from David Draiman, though he does go into grittier, anthemic territory on the chorus. “I won’t give up, so don’t give in / You’ve fallen down but you can rise again,” he belts, summoning all his inner strength.
