Japanese metal band Coffins have shared “Impuritious Minds,” the latest single from their forthcoming album, Beyond the Circular Demise.

The nearly seven-minute-long anthem, which weaves in and out of headbang-inducing electric guitar riffs throughout, is a masterclass in sludgy death-doom. The song was recorded at the Noise Room Studio im Tokyo, and features frontman Jun Tokita’s grungy vocals.

Beyond the Circular Demise is Coffin’s fifth studio album, and first since 2013’s The Fleshland. Aside from “Impuritious Minds,” the record will also include earlier singles “Forgotten Cemetery” and “Terminate By Own Prophecy.” It’s scheduled for release on September 20 via Relapse Records.
