Code Orange have released a video for “Swallowing the Rabbit Whole,” the crushing new single from their upcoming album, Underneath.

The captivating video, directed by Max Moore, picks up on the final scenes of the previously released video for the album’s title track. It cuts rapidly between a no-holds-barred performance by the Pittsburgh hardcore band—where drummer-vocalist Jami Morgan properly takes centerstage at the mic—and scenes of a masked, scarred figure who seizes a chainsaw.

“‘Swallowing the Rabbit Whole’ is the passageway into the deep descent that is the next era of Code Orange… the next piece to the puzzle of Underneath,” Morgan said in a statement. “Duality is key, not only thematically on this album, but in the continued evolution of our sound and the larger heavy music world in general. You’ve got it all figured out until you’re drowning in it.”

Underneath is out March 13 via Roadrunner. It comes three years after Forever, whose title track earned Code Orange a Grammy nomination for Best Metal Performance in 2018.
