Metallica have uploaded an acoustic performance of their 1986 hit, “Disposable Heroes,” to their YouTube channel. It’s taken from the band’s Helping Hands benefit concert last month, which raised funds for the group’s All Within My Hands Foundation.

Instead of their usual elaborate setup, the band opted for a stripped-down vibe. Frontman James Hetfield led the band from a stool with an acoustic guitar in hand., belting the powerful, war-themed song. Bassist Robert Trujillo’s pounding lines guided the tune, while axeman Kirk Hammett chipped in with a masterful solo on a 12-string acoustic.

“Disposable Heroes,” along with 11 other acoustic tracks recorded at the concert, will feature on a limited-edition vinyl album entitled Helping Hands… Live & Acoustic at The Masonic.
