Carnifex have announced their seventh studio album, World War X, with a new single: “No Light Shall Save Us” featuring Alissa White-Gluz.

The Arch Enemy frontwoman lends her harsh vocals to the chugging track, which goes to another level when the bridge comes in, thanks to guitar solos and White-Gluz’s dramatic background vocals. “No Light Shall Save Us” also arrived with a video featuring White-Gluz, swathed in billowing red cloth, wandering a desert expanse. She also performs with Carnifex on the sandy plains at night.

Besides White-Gluz, World War X will feature one more guest: guitarist Angel Vivaldi. The album is out August 2 via Nuclear Blast.
