Bring Me the Horizon unveil ‘Post Human: Survival Horror’

Featuring Babymetal, YUNGBLUD and Evanescence’s Amy Lee.

Bring Me the Horizon have released their new EP, Post Human: Survival Horror.

The nine-track project includes collaborations with Babymetal (on “Kingslayer”), Lee (“One Day the Only Butterflies Left Will Be in Your Chest as You March Towards Your Death”) and London rock duo Nova Twins (“IXI”). YUNGBLUD also appears on the previously released “Obey.” Other familiar songs on the EP include “Ludens” and “Parasite Eve.”

Though the EP is “kind of a mix” and “still feels bonkers in terms of jumping from genre to genre and sound to sound”, frontman Oli Sykes told Music Feeds, the EP does mine an older BMTH sound. “We’ve definitely took a little bit more influence from things we did quite a few years ago,” he said. “Now we’ve got something to be angry about, we’ve got something to be pissed about, we’ve got something to make violent music to.”

The EP is the follow-up to their 2019 surprise release Music to Listen to…. The same year, the group also released their sixth studio album, Amo.
