Watch Miguel Zenón play the ‘Tiny Desk’ with the Spektral Quartet

The Puerto Rican saxophonist holds court.

The latest jazz artist to hit NPR’s Tiny Desk is Miguel Zenón, who recently performed a lively three-song set with the Spektral Quartet.

The saxophonist and the Chicago-based string quartet performed choice cuts from their 2018 collaborative album, Yo Soy La Tradición. The record is steeped in the folklore and traditional music of Puerto Rico, where Zenón is from.
