Watch Kamaal Williams’ new video for “Hold On” featuring Lauren Faith

Williams’ second album ‘Wu Hen’ dropped in July.

Keyboardist Kamaal Williams has released a music video for “Hold On,” his collaboration with Lauren Faith.

The sultry single is lifted from Williams’ recent album Wu Hen, which dropped at the end of July. Faith’s breathy vocals complement Williams’ minimal groove as she effortlessly flaunts her high-flying vocal range. In the vintage-inspired black-and-white clip, the pair perform the slow-burner in an empty theatre.

“There’s a subliminal element that resonates throughout my work,” Williams said in a statement of Wu Hen. “If you’re painting, it’s what you’re feeling as you’re painting. And the person looking at that artwork or listening to that music, they can feel it too, because it’s sincere.”

Besides Faith, the only other featured guest on Wu Hen is Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, who collaborates on three of the record’s first four tracks.
