Watch Jacob Collier cover “Moon River” with his famous friends

Charlie Puth, Ty Dolla $ign, Kimbra and many more lend their voices to the epic rendition.

London-based multi-instrumentalist Jacob Collier has dropped a video for his ambitious reimagining of “Moon River” that features more than a hundred vocalists.

The clip opens with Collier’s 144 collaborators—including the likes of Quincy Jones, Daniel Caesar and Hans Zimmer—crooning the word “moon” before cutting to the jazz wunderkind, who recorded 5,000 vocal tracks of himself to recreate the classic tune popularized by Audrey Hepburn. In true Collier fashion, the video is also self-directed, though Light Sail VR’s Matt Celia also helped him produce its galactic array of faces.

“Moon River” is the latest single from Djesse—Volume 2, the second instalment of Collier’s expansive four-volume project. He previously released a cover of The Beatles’ “Here Comes the Sun” as part of the lead-up to Volume 2, which arrives June 28.
