Jazz singer Samantha Sidley gets into the mood of Pride Month with her cheeky new single, “I Like Girls.”

The singer plainly proclaims her love for women on the track, her bright vocals soaring over seductive horns, layered percussion and guitar chords. “I like girls who don’t know they like girls / I like girls who really like girls a lot,” she sings on the chorus.

“This is a song that not only celebrates how I express love but also celebrates women as a whole,” Sidley told JAZZIZ. “I’m a jazz singer and I wanted to sing songs that represented me but still sounded timeless. I used to just change the pronouns in standards but now I have originals in the genre especially about me and my story.”

“I Like Girls” is the opener of Sidley’s forthcoming debut album, Interior Person, which drops September 13. The record includes songs written by musicians like Inara George and Alex Lilly, as well as Sidley’s wife, Barbara Gruska.
