Quinsin Nachoff’s latest album with Flux, Path of Totality, was nominated for a 2019 Juno Award even before its release last month. This week, the saxophonist has released a short film for “Splatter.”
Crafted by Udo Prinsen, the clip for “Splatter” mixes footage of natural landscapes with different animated flourishes that fit the track’s dynamic instrumentals.
The “Splatter” video is the first of multiple works by filmmakers Nachoff approached to interpret Path of Totality. “The compositions on this recording are very expansive and cinematic in scope; they lend themselves well to a creative visual,” Nachoff explained in a statement.
