Lophiile makes Blue Note debut with ‘To Forgive’ EP

Jazz meets hip hop and R&B.

Today, the artist Lophiile makes his debut on Blue Note Records with a slick EP, To Forgive.

The short project synthesizes the producer’s key influences—jazz, hip hop and R&B—into five sophisticated and inviting songs. Three of them feature vocals by Jamaican-American artist Jesse Boykins III, UK-based vocalist Sophie Faith and American R&B singer NSTASIA.

Lophiile (real name Tyler Acord) is a multi-instrumentalist and producer who’s worked with artists from the rap and R&B sets, like Freddie Gibbs, Goldlink, HER and Gallant. He’s also a member of the R&B group Radiant Children, who released an EP last year.
