Keith Jarrett will release a new album, La Fenice, next month.
The album will present recordings from Jarrett’s 2006 concert in Venice at Gran Teatro La Fenice, which “could be considered the culmination point of a series of solo concerts that began the previous September with The Carnegie Hall Concert,” a press release noted.
Fans of the legendary jazz pianist, who’s played with Charles Lloyd and Miles Davis, will be excited by La Fenice’s inclusion of eight spontaneous pieces that reference the blues, atonality and more. The album will be out October 19 on ECM Records.
