In May, Joe Armon-Jones dropped Starting Today, his debut album and yet another project to come out of the vibrant, prolific jazz scene in the UK. Last Friday, the keyboardist dropped new, dubby versions of two tracks off that record.

Collected in Starting Today in Dub are “Starting Today Dub” and “Mollison Dub Vocal Version,” featuring West London dub artist Asheber (who also sang on the original version of “Starting Today”). The originals are plenty sprawling already, but these new, spaced-out tracks demonstrate the exciting possibilities when different genres collide.

Armon-Jones, who is also a founding member of the Ezra Collective, will release the two tracks on a 12-inch. The first batch of pre-orders have sold out, but records will be available at his London show in February. Head to his website for more info.
