Veteran jazz drummer Jimmy Cobb has released a new quartet album, This I Dig of You.

The ten-track record arrived August 16, a day before the 60th anniversary of Kind of Blue, the Miles Davis masterpiece that Cobb played on alongside Cannonball Adderley, John Coltrane, Bill Evans, Wynton Kelly and Paul Chambers. At the ripe old age of 90, Cobb is the last surviving member of the band behind the legendary album.

On This I Dig of You, Cobb leads a group of longtime collaborators: pianist Harold Mabern, guitarist Peter Bernstein and bassist John Webber. He let his bandmates pick the songs, and they laid down the tracks in just a single session with no rehearsal.
